Welcome to the Social Calendar page, we hope you are able to join us for some of the exciting events that are coming up at the moment



RIYC GOLF OUTING
Friday, 31st March 11.00 hrs


Get your team or boat crew four-ball together and enjoy the RIYC golf outing at the Elm Park Golf Club,  followed by prizegiving and dinner at RIYC on Friday evening. Book Online hereEntries and inquires can also be taken in the Catering OfficeGuests are welcome, Members’ table will be available, 




RIYC CRUISING TALK
Thursday, 6th April 19.30 hrs
 

AUSTIN O'CARROLL, Paralympian, will present his talk
‘Sailing in the Paralympics, alongside the Favelas, Rio 2016’ Austin will talk about his journey to Rio with the Irish Paralympic Sailing Team. The role sailing played in his life, lessons learnt training for the Paralympics.  His work in inner city Dublin developing healthcare service for the deprived and marginalised       Supper will be served in the Dining Room afterwards, Members table available, €27 per person, guests welcome.  Reservations to Catering


RIYC ANNUAL MEMBER'S DINNER
Friday, 21st April 19.30 hrs

Our Annual Black Tie Member’s Dinner 2017, is on Friday, 21 April. This annual dinner is a Club tradition that has been celebrated by members for many years.The evening commences with members gathering in the bar for drinks. The dinner gong is sounded at 20.30 hrs for members to proceed to the dining room, where there is free seating. To reserve your seat, please write your name down on the board in the hall, or contact the Catering Office on 2809452 ext 1, or by email here. Price €45 per person

RIYC Bridge Club 
The Bridge Club take a break for the Summer season, but will be back mid September on Tuesday evenings

RIYC Book Club Meeting - Wednesday, 5th April  at 11.00 hrs
The next meeting of the RIYC Book Club will take place on Wednesday 5 April,  the first Wednesday of the month, at 11.00am in the drawing room. It was agreed to review two short reads and you may choose either or both.

1.   The Hillbilly Elegy  by JD Vance
2.    Our souls at night by Kent Haruf

There is no obligation to have read the book to attend the book club just turn up. The monthly meeting of the RIYC Book Club is a relaxed occasion and an opportunity to catch up with and make new friends in the ambience of the Drawing Room.
