Part of Club life is availing of the magnificent Clubhouse facilities where you can meet new people and develop lasting friendships. The Club hosts a wide variety of social events throughout the calendar year making it easy to keep in touch with fellow yachtsmen and women.

As well as regularly scheduled events, the Club caters for parties to celebrate the holidays, informal events, educational seminars, theme dinners, and all occasions. All this and more is brought to you by our highly qualified and professional catering team.

Our Winter A La Carte Menu is now available for you to enjoy. Book a table for friends, family or crew. Dishes are priced individually; menus without prices are available on request.

The Dining Room menu offers a range of delicious meals for those who would like a full meal or just a main course. Lunch is served 1.00 pm-2.00 pm Tuesday - Friday and Sunday. Dinner is served Tuesday to Saturday 7.30-9.30pm. Booking is essential!

Function Menus

The Club is more than happy to make its facilities available to members to host private functions. In the past, we have catered for all special occasions including Weddings, Christenings, Engagements parties, Anniversaries, Birthday parties and any special family gatherings.

Members can book the Dining Room, Drawing room, Library, Cellar or Wet Bar for your perfect event. We pride ourselves on the genuine and historic nature of our Clubhouse while striving to provide the most modern and high standard of service and cuisine.

Wine Menu Our dedicated Wine Committee carefully hand pick each wine on the Wine Menu for your enjoyment.White Wines, Sparkling Wines, Red Wines, Dessert Wines. We also have an En primeur selection available exclusively for our Members to enjoy.





Dress Code


Dining Room

Jacket required, tie not required, polo neck replacing the collared shirt (if preferred).
No jeans, sneakers, or tee shirts. More formal dress of jacket and tie is encouraged at the weekends for gentlemen.

Drawing Room

Neat, tidy and clean casual clothes to be worn at all times.
For greater clarity the following is not acceptable: Track suits, working clothes or boots, torn or wet clothes.
Also no shorts or sailing boots allowed except on Regatta or event Days.

Notes

Overcoats, anoraks, cycling gear and helmets / head gear should be removed and either left in the changing rooms or on the coat racks in the hall.

The dress code for special functions may be different to the above and should be specified prior to the event.
It is the responsibility of members to advise their guests of the Club’s dress code and Rules & Regulations when visiting the Club. Should a member be alerted to a dress code infringement by a member of staff it is to be expected that their response will be sympathetic and conducive to correcting the infringement.

Correspondence from the Club



Some Members are reporting that they are not getting all the correspondence from the Club.
Things that go amiss most often seem to be E-Mail Chits (you receive these when you bill items to your member account), monthly Member Statements or Club text messages.
We find most of the lost correspondence goes to junk mail, but if you are having difficulty receiving mail from the Club please contact the Secretary.

RIYC Car Park

Dear Member, help us to help you.
Please display your 2017 car park sticker clearly, members of staff will carry out periodic spot checks of the car park during the sailing season.
People who do not display a 2017 RIYC sticker may be kindly asked to park their car elsewhere.
